Are you aged 16-25 and interested in improving your digital heritage skills?

We are currently recruiting up to three more volunteers for our Our Great Yarmouth volunteering group who will meet at the Time and Tide Museum Archive on Tuesday mornings from 10am-12pm. The opportunity involves developing digitisation and cataloguing skills and uploading the Great Yarmouth Museums photography collection to the new Our Great Yarmouth website.

Our first session on the 21st January 2025 and we may be able to cover travel expenses if volunteers are travelling from outside of Yarmouth!

What's involved?

You will be scanning, cataloguing and uploading the Time and Tide Museums’ extensive photograph archive to the Our Great Yarmouth website, whilst working alongside museum professionals and receiving in house training.

Why get involved?

Make new friends and work with museum professionals to uncover stories about Great Yarmouth’s past!

This is a fantastic opportunity to get some hands-on experience with museum collections and archives in a museum environment.
