Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse is based in a former workhouse, originally opened in 1777 as a ‘House of Industry’. Now the site houses an extensive museum exploring what life was like for those who once lived and worked here.

Set in the beautiful Norfolk countryside, the outdoor spaces around Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse are one of the features which make the museum a great place to visit. Our gardening volunteers play a vital role in keeping the site looking its best.
