Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse is based in a former workhouse, originally opened in 1777 as a ‘House of Industry’. Now the site houses an extensive museum exploring what life was like for those who once lived and worked here.

Gressenhall 250: More than a Workhouse, Volunteer Researcher

We’re looking to recruit a small team of home-based volunteers to support new and exciting research into the later period of the site’s history at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, as part of its 250th anniversary in 2027.
