Strangers' Hall

Strangers' Hall Room Guide

Strangers’ Hall, a magnificent Tudor house with a delightful 17th century knot garden in Norwich city centre, has been home to many of the city’s leading citizens since the 14th Century. Volunteer Room Guides help us to interpret this special place, engaging with visitors, answering questions, and sharing our passion for its rich history. They also help us to monitor and care for the site and collections within it.

Volunteers are required during opening times- Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays 10am-4pm (during the summer months also Thursday and Fridays). Volunteers can do either morning or afternoon. Seasonal opening times also apply, with some additional openings during the Christmas and Summer periods and museum closure from Christmas until February Half Term.
